Plastic Free Packaging

I am pleased to announce all my packaging is now plastic free!

I now use cardboard mailing boxes instead of bubble-lined mailing bags to post EVERYTHING! This has been quite a big change and will make a huge impact. I've got a variety of sizes to cover different order sizes and after shopping around have found some that look way better than the bubble envelopes I used to use but also fit with the UK Royal Mail large letter size.

Each mailing box is sealed with paper tape. I'm using Tesa Paper Packing Tape made from recycled materials which also claims to be "made of unbleached paper with a high content of recycled fibres, It also features a solvent-free adhesive free from any toxic chemicals." Double win! (Available on Amazon, if you're interested!).

All of the outer packaging is completely paper based and 100% recyclable.

The jewellery itself comes in my branded boxes. These are luxurious Kraft brown gift boxes (recyclable if you wish, but I rather hope you'll keep them!) the only part that is not plastic free is the foam liner inside the gift box. I'm always on the lookout for an alternative and have asked my suppliers to ditch the plastic but this one is still a work in progress.
