Setting Sea Glass Workshop - 18th March 11-4pm
Transform a piece of sea glass into a sterling silver ring or pendant in this fun and relaxing pop-up jewellery class in Aberdeenshire. In this workshop we will cover a variety of skills such as soldering and saw piercing and you will learn to build a setting and set and set your seaglass to finish your very own unique piece of jewellery. The class will run from 11am to approximately 4pm with a break for lunch. You can bring your lunch along or visit one of the local eateries.
WHO CAN ATTEND
This class is suitable for beginners or anyone who has already tried jewellery making. We will have a maximum of 6 participants so there will be plenty of time for demonstrations and one-on-one guidance on the day. Over 16 years of age only.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
All materials and tools are provided. An apron is provided but you may wish to bring your own. Long hair should be tied back. Please wear closed toe shoes and bring along your glasses if you need them for close up work.
A selection of sea glass is available to choose from on the day but if you would like to bring your own it should be a roughly flat and no bigger than 2cm in size.
The Hut is a beautiful bright space to create in. Located in the village of Chapelton just south of Aberdeen near Newtonhill.
Whilst you’re here you might like to visit The Boxes right across the road where you’ll find an amazing variety of local small businesses with lots to offer including fruit and veg, cupcakes, ice cream and jewellery. We’re also walking distance from Brae café and Slate & Grain Brasserie if you fancy making a day of it!
The Hut is a modern fully accessible building all on one ground floor level. There’s plenty of free parking nearby on street and across the road. We’re on a main bus route from Aberdeen and Stonehaven.
WHO'S THE TUTOR
Thats me! Aimi Cairns. I've been making jewellery for nearly 15 years and set up my own jewellery business in 2014, formerly SilverZoo and now Aimi Cairns Jewellery. I've been running pop-up jewellery classes locally since 2018.

Please book early to secure your date as workshops can sell out quickly. I’ll send you a confirmation email a few days before the class to remind you of all the details.
If you can’t attend please get in touch as soon as possible. Your booking can be transferred to another date if available or a full refund will be given for cancellations up to 72 hours ahead of the class. Refunds and exchanges can’t be made less than 72 hours before your class.
